SIT-A-LONG with JUNDO: Heart Sutra XXIV

“Gaining” is empty.

Achieving “no gaining”, non-achieving, is achieving a great gain!

We attain “no gaining” by finding that there’s nothing to seek,
nobody to be seeking.

(which is all so very different from “giving up” and complacency, by the way)

No/ suf/fer/ing/, nor/ cause/ or/ end/ to/ suf/fer/ing/;

No/ path/, no/ wis/dom/ and/ no/ gain/.

    Hi,Someone wrote to ask if my eyes are closed when I sit. They are not. As best I can figure, it is the camera angle, the light and shadow, and my lovely long eyelashes. My eyes are almost always 1/3 to 2/3 open (it does naturally vary), looking downward about a meter in front of my seat. Gassho, Jundo … EYES OPEN!
